Dear Tara

Dear Tara,

Remember telling Adi that "Marriage is for fools" and giving eachother a high-five on that? Little did you guys know then that you both would end up marrying eachother.

It was so endearing to watch you and Adi fall in love and live in love. You guys were free-spirited and were having so much fun together without giving a damn about what others would think or say. You were living life on your own terms. You guys were the happiest together. Your relationship with Adi had no strings attached, no rules, no pressures, no expectations, no commitments. But there was love and trust.

You both knew you loved eachother. But you were scared to get married, weren't you? I don't blame you for that Tara. I understand, you had your own reasons to not believe in marriage and commitment. Your picture of "marriage" was that of your parents who always agrued, fought, never got along and finally divorced.

I'm so glad fate put you and Adi amidst Ganapathy uncle and Bhavani aunty. They showed you that not all marriages end up in hatred. They showed you the beauty of unconditional love and commitment. They made you realize the importance of having someone by your side for a lifetime. They made you believe in love.

When you guys started a live-in relationship you had no clue that it would bring you to a point where you would find it really hard to choose between Adi and your career, right? So was the case with Adi. While you weren't able to hold back your emotions, Adi was just very good at hiding them.

I remember Adi telling Ganapathy uncle that he could never be like him and love someone so selflessly. But after spending six months with you, he confessed to you that he could be like Ganpathy uncle and that he would care for you even if you turned out to be unwell like Bhavani aunty. Just look at what love did to him! It made him someone he thought he could never be.

I'm so glad Adi did finally overcome his inhibitions and blurt out his feelings. I'm so glad you guys got married and yet neither of you had to give up on your career plans. May you both grow old together and may you forever remain happy as Adi's beloved kanmani.

Love,
VMR❤
